Annual Road Work Plans, reviewed, revised, approved and reported, all in one place.

APRPMS 2.0 is the Annual Public Roads Programme Management System of the Kenya Roads Board. Road agencies submit their annual work plans, and KRB reviews and consolidates them into the Annual Public Roads Programme (APRP). Funding is monitored from budget ceilings through disbursement programmes to releases, and progress is reported every quarter, all from the same data.

OVERVIEW

One programme, one record, from the first work plan to the last report.

APRPMS brings planning, implementation, funding oversight and reporting for the annual roads maintenance programme into one workspace for the Kenya Roads Board and the road agencies in the programme.

One system of record

Keep the whole annual cycle connected.

Work plans, funding ceilings, releases, implementation reports and M&E evidence all arrive as workbooks and documents. APRPMS validates them when they are uploaded, keeps every version, and ties them together so oversight comes from the same data the agencies reported.

Submit once, correctly

Agencies upload the standard workbook. Every cell is checked before anything is stored, with row-level errors to fix first.

Know which version is current

A re-upload creates the next revision and exactly one is active. Earlier versions are kept for the record.

Review, release, report

A three-stage compliance review, versioned finance uploads, and dashboards and reports drawn from one set of data.

MODULES

What's live today, built around how KRB actually works.

Nine modules already in use, from the annual work plan upload through to budget ceilings, access and security — with the rest of the classic APRPMS linked in until it's moved across too.

Key feature

Annual Road Work Plans

The consolidated Annual Public Roads Programme is generated from each agency's active work plan, with executive summaries, a cross-plan map, and exports you can filter by financial year and download as shapefiles or reports.

Five executive summaries, one plan at a time

  • Planned KMs & amounts
  • Cost per KM per agency
  • % proposed interventions
  • Summary of outputs
  • Cost of maintenance per KM

Annual Road Work Plans

Agencies upload their work plans, see cell-level validation, and revise with a single active plan per financial year — plus a cross-plan map and shapefile and report exports.

APRP Implementation

Implementation reporting and summaries by financial year, authority and fund type, drawn from each agency's active work plan.

Roads Info

Roads in poor condition under routine maintenance, roads planned for consistently, and a searchable road register, each exportable.

Budget Ceiling

Versioned annual funding ceilings with per-agency totals, current and historical versions, and ceiling reports.

Access Requests

A queue for requests to join the system, with a decision page for approving or declining each one.

Users & Access

Users, roles and permissions, filterable by directorate, department and region — menus show only what each person's roles allow.

Configurations

Financial years, authorities, fund types, funding sources and regions, kept in one place for the rest of the system to reference.

Account Security

Authenticator apps, recovery codes, sign-in policy, one-time codes, active sessions and sign-in activity — each person manages their own.

Notifications & Announcements

Personal notifications, system-wide announcements, and the rules that decide who gets notified about what.

WHO USES IT

Built around the people who run the programme.

Each actor works in the part of the cycle that is theirs, and sees only what it needs to, from the agencies that plan and deliver to the executives who decide.

Primary usersAgencies

Prepare and revise the Annual Road Works Programme, respond to review comments, and submit implementation progress, expenditure and evidence every quarter. Every revision is kept and the current one is always clear.
